FUTURE EXPRESSION

Future Expression To say what “Will” happen in the future , you can use the modal auxillary will ( plus the base form of the main verb ), the verb phrase “be going to “ (plus the base form of the main verb) but be carefull, because there are times when one is preferred over the others. The are four types to describe of the future expression, namely : 1.PREDICTION We often use “ going to” or “ will “ to make a prediction about the future. prediction was based on the evidence which we believe it will happen tomorrow or as soon as possible. predictions that will surely happen if we use “going to” because 90 % will happen than use “will” only 50 % certainty. Formula : S + TO BE GOING TO + V1 To make a verb form with “be going to”, you first put “be” into the correct form to agree with the subject, and then add “going to” + the simple form of the verb. Note also that the “be” form is often shortened. S + WILL + V1 EX : The first train going to depart depok destination at 05.00 am My IP is bad. My father isn't going to be very happy! 2.INTENTION Intention is a plan but It’s own desires. You can use modal auxillary “be going to “ Formula : S + TO BE GOING TO + V1 S + WILL + V1 EX : I going to dufan tomorrow. I will finis my homework soon. 3.ARRAGEMENT Arragement is a activities while planned together, not only his own desires. It’s different with Intention. Formula : S + WILL +Ving EX: We will visiting him in hospital We wil making cake to orphanage 4.SCHEDULE Schedule is a plan, meetings, or activities that have been prepared in advance. Formula : S + VI S + TOBE + Ving EX : meeting will be held at 09:00 Plane with destination Jakarta will take off 09.00 pm QUESTION : 1.It’s 8.30 jack is leaving his house. He has to be at work 8.45 but the journey takes 20 minutes. He(late ) is going to be late. 2.Sue (come) going to come to see us tommorrow. She going to travel by train and her train going to arrive at 10.15. I will meeting her at the station. 3.The art exhibition is opening on 3 May and Finishing on 15 July.
